Hi! My name is Laryne Gamble, my traditional name is Mother of the Little Bear. I am from the wolf tribe and the house of keeper of the minks. I am also from the village of Gingolx and I am a Nisga'a and Ts'msyen woman. 

Traditionally my ancestors were nomadic, traveling throughout our territories and beyond for a multitude of reasons including; trade, resources, harvest, marriage, and in war. 

I often remind myself that permanent settlements were brought upon by colonization and so my life on the move, is in some ways in defiance of the restrictions that my people have faced.
